We're on a Quest
BiotiQuest means life journey. We are on a quest to bring restorative products to the world. At BiotiQuest, we realize conventional methods aren’t delivering the solutions people need to feel their best. We are committed to launching a full product line of probiotics that are scientifically targeted to fine-tune the inner workings of the gut microbiome.
Let the science behind our products help you find your way to better health.
Our products perform better than typical probiotics and dietary supplements. Take a look at our success stories. You’ll see what drives us. You’ll learn why we want to empower you to feel your best.
We continue to be challenged by our parent company, The BioCollective, and led by the revolutionary vision of our founder and CEO, Martha Carlin. We bring game-changing products to the world in an effort to provide everyday people the best possible products to improve their health.

More than a probiotic company
We believe in giving back. This is more than a business to us; it’s about supporting each other. That's why we offer discounts to Parkinson’s patients and donate bottles of probiotics to the Navajo Nation.
We are committed to restoring the health of our friends, family, those we have never met, and the earth.
We believe that everything we do should take into consideration our surroundings with an inherent respect for the interplay of natural ecosystems.
Let us know how we can make a difference in your world.
Dr. Raul Cano in a nutshell
Dr. Raul Cano is the Chief Scientific Revolutionary at The BioCollective.
Among his many achievements during his tenure at the BioCollective, he has led the design and development of more than 20 probiotic formulations using his expertise in microbiology, ecology and genomics to select synergistic guilds for the restoration of the healthy gut microbiome.
Dr. Cano specializes in molecular and environmental microbiology. He is best known for his groundbreaking work in paleomicrobiology and metagenomics. His current interest focuses in metagenomics and comparative metabolomics to create “functional probiotic formulations” as well as developing standard procedures of microbiome research. His “hobby” is the study of the microbiome and resistome of ancient human populations, including pre-Colombian cultures and ancient European and African cultures.
He has lectured to scientists around the world and has been published dozens of times in scientific journals including Science, Nature, Microbial Ecology, Applied and Environmental Microbiology, and many more. He has done patented work on deriving ancient bacteria from amber inclusions, exploration of petroleum production using microbial community analysis, and has a patent pending in functional probiotic formulations, sample processing for and control reagents for microbiome research, bioremediation, methods of detecting pathogens in foods.
Dr. Cano’s microbiology career spans more than 50 years, with extensive experience in both Biotechnology and Academia.
Prior to joining The BioCollective team, he was Executive Director for Research at the ATCC Center for Translational Microbiology. He is also Professor Emeritus at the Biological Sciences Department, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, He has taught at Cal Poly for over 30 years. Dr. Cano is the founder and former Director the Environmental Biotechnology Institute (EBI). Dr. Cano help raise $5.6 million to build new research facilities for the EBI and to establish new research programs.
As founding Scientist and Vice President of Ambergene Corporation, he isolated and characterized more that 1,200 ancient microorganisms from amber, including 9 ancient yeasts, four of which are brewer’s yeasts. His management skills, in addition of his role as Chief Scientific Revolutionatry at The BioCollective, he is currently President and CEO of PaleoBiotica, Executive Director of Research at ATCC-CTM, include Director of the EBI (1996-present), Founding Scientist and Vice-President of Ambergene Corporation (1993-1997), President and Founder of Environmental Diagnostics, (2001 to 2016). and Vice-President in CHOSeN Biologics (2003-2006).
His Ph.D. in microbiology was granted by University of Montana.
Dr. Cano also holds advanced degrees in Genetics and Clinical Microbiology. He has been awarded more than a dozen awards, including the Carski Award. Dr. Cano has served as scientific consultant to several biotechnology firms and has been elected fellow to the American Academy of Microbiology.
