Spicy Low-Sugar Cranberry Relish

This fresh cranberry relish is lightly spiced, with just a hint of sweetness to balance the natural tartness.





Ingredients:

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 orange, zest and juice
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (or more to taste)
  • 1 small jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the cranberries and add them to a food processor with orange zest, orange juice, honey, jalapeño, ginger, and cinnamon.
  2. Pulse until finely chopped and well combined. Adjust sweetness with additional honey or maple syrup, if desired.
  3. Let the relish sit in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld. Serve as a side dish with meats or as a topping for roasted vegetables.
