Spicy Low-Sugar Cranberry Relish
This fresh cranberry relish is lightly spiced, with just a hint of sweetness to balance the natural tartness.
Ingredients:
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 orange, zest and juice
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (or more to taste)
- 1 small jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Instructions:
- Rinse the cranberries and add them to a food processor with orange zest, orange juice, honey, jalapeño, ginger, and cinnamon.
- Pulse until finely chopped and well combined. Adjust sweetness with additional honey or maple syrup, if desired.
- Let the relish sit in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld. Serve as a side dish with meats or as a topping for roasted vegetables.
