My bottle looks different than the last one I ordered. Is this still the same product?
Yes! We are continually working to improve our packaging as we grow. You may see our product in the original amber glass bottles or our new BioBottles®, particularly if you ordered on Amazon. These new bottles reduce the need for bubble wrap and other protective material to prevent glass from breaking during shipping.
How often should I take BiotiQuest probiotics?
For our two a day products (Sugar Shift, Ideal Immunity, & Heart Centered), we recommend taking them in the morning with your first meal, and in the evening with dinner. They can also be taken while fasting but we find our customers find it easiest to remember them with meals, and many of our products work with & on the food you eat, so taking them with meals is great!
We recommend taking Simple Slumber around 45 minutes to an hour before you plan on falling asleep.
If you’re taking Antibiotic Antidote, we recommend taking that once a day whenever it fits best into your schedule!
Should I take the probiotic with or without food?
Many of our products work with & on the food you eat, in addition to working normally in your gut. So if you have the option, we recommend taking them with meals! All of our products can also be taken while fasting as well, so while taking them with meals is recommended, it is not a requirement.
Can I take this probiotic with other probiotics or medications?
While we have no data that probiotics will interfere, we always recommend checking with your healthcare provider when starting a new supplement if you are concerned about interactions with your current medications. Our probiotic can be taken in conjunction with other probiotics but keep in mind that our probiotics are specifically designed as working systems, so if you are taking another probiotic (or a combination of ours) we recommend leaving at least two hours in between the two so that our formulas have the opportunity to work by themselves in your gut without competing with the different bacterial strains in other products. If you are taking Simple Slumber along with one of our other probiotics, we recommend taking the other probiotic in the morning, and Simple Slumber at night.
Should I expect any side effects?
When starting a new probiotic, you are introducing new strains of bacteria into your gut microbiome and there may be a slight adjustment period. If you experience discomfort or bloating, we recommend decreasing your daily intake to half the recommended serving for a few weeks to ease your body into the routine and allow more time for your gut to balance naturally. How quickly will I notice a difference?
We have some customers who report seeing changes in how they feel very quickly, but results vary from person to person depending on what the state of their gut health is when starting a new probiotic regimen. Participants in our clinical trial saw best results when taking the product for at least 90 days. Consistency is key! (do we want to put some most notable early changes here? Might be difficult with product variety)
